Grotto Meetings

Meetings are usually the First Thursday of every month at REI. Newcomers are welcome.

Friday July 10th 2026 7pm-8:30pm at Southern Arizona Rescue Association (5990 Sabino Canyon Rd, Tucson, AZ 85750)

Please email us at Southern.AZ.Grotto@gmail.com for gate code (it will be the same used for the May meeting).

We will meet afterwards for an optional dinner at Arizona Pizza Company (4955 N Sabino Canyon Rd, Tucson, AZ 85750). No purchase required.

Southern Arizona Rescue Association meets just inside the main door. The parking lot has no lighting and is mostly gravel. Meetings adjourn by 8:30pm but chatter sometimes lingers until 9pm.

Everyone is welcome at our general grotto meetings, member or guest, caver or not. We typically begin with an ice breaker to introduce one another, share reports of recent trips taken, and then discuss some club or cave community business. Upcoming trips shall be discussed before the meeting adjourns.

Thursday August 6th 2026 6:30pm-8pm at REI at the Tucson Mall 160 W Wetmore Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705

Meetings are regularly held at REI at the Tucson Mall. Any changes will be made here and emailed to members the day before at the latest (feel free to email also).

REI meets in the Community Room on the 2nd floor in the far back SW corner of the store. An elevator is available. Store closes at 8pm. Food and water are permitted; alcohol is strictly prohibited. We go for dinner afterwards at Mod Pizza just across the street (no purchase required).

REI hosts us free of change so our individual patronage is appreciated.
